Rage Room VR
This is a VR game inspired by rage rooms. So as you can expect, the aim is to cause as much destruction as possible!
Firstly, I created a prototype that only included what would be the game's core mechanics: grabbing, throwing, and smashing.
Once I was happy that these mechanics felt responsive and enjoyable, I moved on to creating a complete level.
I created the layout of an apartment and added the furniture, along with some props that the player can interact with, most of which can be destroyed.
After that, I wanted to make smashing stuff feel even more satisfying, so I added sounds to each object for when they are hit, and for when they are broken.
Then I developed a score system, that awards points based on how hard an object is broken, in other words, smashing something harder is more rewarding. You also gain bonus points for being resourceful and using other objects to break other objects.
